British Skin Foundation Accreditation
Skin integrity is essential for the normal usage of a stoma appliance and Salts Healthcare is the first company to receive accreditation by the British Skin Foundation for its research into hydrocolloids.
This significant achievement confirms what Salts Healthcare has long suspected that its product is leading the industry in 'Skin Friendliness'.
New Technology - Aston University
In partnership with Aston University, Salts Healthcare developed Peri-Prep® Sensitive's unique formulation. The No-Sting Protective Film provides a durable, leakage-resistant barrier when dried but is pH neutral to be gentle on the skin. The composition contains ethoxylated pentaerythritol (star-shaped polymers) that allow greater flexibility of the film and improved pouch adhesion. Peri-Prep® Sensitive is the only water-based skin barrier film in the UK, making it cost effective as well as skin-friendly.
